In other provinces, we are watching with horror as law-abiding homeowners are dragged through the courts simply for defending their own property. Meanwhile, Ottawa’s reckless catch-and-release bail system puts violent repeat offenders back on the street within hours.

That is the common sense approach that has been missing from our justice system for too long. And that is why your United Conservative Team has drawn a line in the sand.
We recently passed a historic Sovereignty Act motion to shield Albertans from this insanity. We have affirmed that you have the right to use reasonable force to defend yourself, your loved ones and your home.
But not everyone agrees.
In fact, Naheed Nenshi’s NDP voted AGAINST this common sense measure.
When they had the chance to stand with victims, they chose to stand with criminals.
