Global uncertainty keeps pushing energy prices higher, and a lot of Albertans are feeling it at the pump. Albertans told us they want relief they can see every time they fill up. So that’s exactly what we’re doing. Starting October 1, Danielle Smith and our United Conservative government are suspending the full provincial fuel tax. You’ll save 13 cents a litre on gasoline and diesel every time you fill up for the rest of the year. At today’s prices, that would put Alberta’s average gas price almost 20 cents below the next-lowest province. It’s real relief that means more money stays in your pocket. Albertans already pay the lowest overall taxes in Canada. And our income tax cut is saving a two-income family up to $1,500 again this year. Suspending the fuel tax builds on that advantage.
